The Spaniard will move up the Road to MotoGP™ thanks to a support programme from Dorna and Red Bull

Hawkers European Talent Cup rider Máximo Martínez will take the next step on the Road to MotoGP™ in 2022, selected as part of a support programme run by Dorna and Red Bull. Since 2017, both parties have run a talent promotion programme to support a rider from the HETC to move into the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup the following season.

This season, that rider is Martinez. Currently leading the HETC standings with two races to go, the Spaniard has taken two wins and a further two podiums so far - showing clear progression as the season has gone on and taking over at the top.

The same opportunity will be offered to one of the top competitors in the Hawkers European Talent Cup next season, with Dorna and Red Bull committed to giving another talent the chance to race in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup.
